Love Impaired – My First Car
Writing about an educational place of learning… a person’s first car, or the first car a person drives after obtaining a legal driver’s license. Inspired by the teachings of Elliot W. Eisner, (1) Freedom and independence would be the Explicit Curriculum of that place, (2) the things that are purposely taught but aren’t so blatantly advertised, would be his Implicit Curriculum. (3) And the unintended, lesson in love and resilience can be accredited to Eisner’s Null Curriculum.
